Sledding

Today was Hannah's first time sledding!  We've been meaning to take her, but she's such a cautious kid and there wasn't much snow in Denver last winter (in fact, we've gotten more snow so far this year than all of last year!), so we just hadn't gotten there yet.  We went straight to the "big" hill at Central Park.  Hannah was excited about going, and we were too.  Unfortunately, her first time down the hill didn't go quite as well as planned.  Daddy's foot hit the snow and a bunch of snow got kicked up, right into Hannah's face.  She was pissed.  Here's a big smile right before the tears.

Despite the foul, she reluctantly kept wanting to go (a little bit of "no" followed by "I wanna go up there").  She and Daddy got in a few more runs, and she wants to go back tomorrow.  Perhaps we'll try the bunny hill first.

Emma had a lot of fun being pulled along.

Hannah pulled Emma for about one second before asking Daddy to take over and pull both of them.

We saw Hannah's friend from school, Emili, sledding with her parents and big brother.  We figured out it was her after she sledded right into Hannah.  Luckily there were no injuries.  Hannah had fun following Emili but wasn't interested in being quite as daring as Emili (who went down the entire hill by herself).

As to be expected, we all had runny noses after being out for about an hour.  On the way home, we heard Hannah say from the back seat, "My boogers are running."
