Gurgles and Such

Emma communicates with smiles and gurgles.  And, yes, cries (but that's old news).  She laughed for the first time today, which was just awesome.  I tried to catch it on video but didn't have any luck.  Instead, I give you a clip of some gurgles.

Yesterday, I propped Emma up on the couch near the window for some photos.  It was very windy outside and Emma was captivated by the trees blowing in the wind.

Last night, Hannah helped me prepare some basil for making pesto.  Her task, which she chose to accept, was to tear the leaves from the stems.  She was very focused and did a great job.

Hannah also got to help spin the water off of the basil leaves.

Today was Emma's first time in the activity jumper.  She's really only good for a short period, as she's not quite stable, but she did a great job holding herself up (with a little help from Mommy, who leaned her against the front of the jumper).  She really enjoyed it!  She was looking at and reach for all of the colorful toys in sight.
