Another day, another airplane trip with two kids under two. Third so far and Emma is only five months old. I'd like to say that it gets easier but so far, no dice. Luckily, though, the southwest staff was much nicer this time (compared to the time when they wouldn't let us on our flight). We had one comedian flight attendant (he was really funny; even Jim was laughing) and one very nice woman (I mean nicest flight attendant ever) that helped so much (picture me in the airplane bathroom with Emma on the changing table crying bloody murder with poop all the way up her back and this lovely flight attendant taking and bagging the poopy clothes and bringing me the clean ones). Hannah didn't sleep, which is never fun, but she did pretty well. And she's asleep in the car now on the way to the city from the airport, so we have that going for us. Emma had some issues with the pressure on the descent but otherwise did well. There is really no good part about traveling with two little kids, but I'd say the worst part comes before and after the flight when you are wrangling bags and dealing with security. But that's kind of like saying 9-day old pizza is better than 10-day old pizza. Really, the entire experience is miserable.
When DOES this get easier?!
How do you have 2 kids under 2?
ReplyDeleteIt gets easier and you guys get better at it. Otherwise put them in a dog cage under the plane.
