New York!

Aunt Sammy and I took the girls to New York for Rosh Hashanah and so that I could go to my friend Pauline's wedding.  Daddy was racing at nationals, so my options were bring the girls or get a babysitter.  Ellie Mae and Aunt Sammy did not approve of the latter option.  So away we went.  The flight there was a challenge because Emma did not want to sleep (note to self: travel with car seat if you want child to sleep on plane).  And the person next to Aunt Sammy did NOT like kids.

Hannah has a matching ladybug backpack and suitcase.  It is adorable.  Here she is posing as we walk out of LaGuardia.

Of course, Emma finally fell asleep while on the 20 minute drive to Ellie Mae's apartment.

Ellie Mae got the girls Cinderella (for Hannah) and ballerina/princess (for Emma) dresses.  I think just wearing this dress made Emma feel like a ballerina/princess.  Hannah wore her Cinderella dress, and Cinderella shoes, which she absolutely loves, to go to see - what else?  Cinderella!  I was away at Pauline's wedding but I hear it was a blast, albeit remiss with potty breaks and lacking in a second act (i.e., Hannah didn't make it that long).
