Uncle Anton's Wedding

Hannah was a flower girl in Uncle Anton's wedding this past weekend.  It was such a nice visit with family.  Hannah loved Uncle Dennis, who insisted she call him "Grandpa Den," which is pretty cute.  Grandpa Den played the magic coin-behind-the-ear game, which Hannah asked him to do again and again ("one more time!").  Hannah loved seeing all of her cousins, as well as Uncle Jonny.  She was sad Netta couldn't make it.

The four of us shared a room at l'Auberge Del Mar, a lovely hotel a block from the beach where the wedding and reception were held.  Hannah insisted on sleeping in her own bed, so to keep her from freaking out, Hannah got her own bed while Jim and I shared a double bed (a wee bit smaller than our king bed at home).  Emma was in a pack 'n play, which worked great.

Before the wedding on Sunday, I went for the most beautiful run along the Del Mar coast.  It was just gorgeous with wildflowers growing and fog clearing off the ocean.

Hannah looked beautiful in her flower girl dress, which she was so excited to wear, and flowers in her hair.  She had a long afternoon of keeping her dress clean and her hair intact while waiting for her moment to shine, but she did a great job.

Hannah wasn't too keen on throwing her petals for the bride to step on.  She kept most of them in her basket.  We let Uncle Anton know why in the photo-book at the reception:

We also made sure to memorialize "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil," mostly for Ellie Mae's benefit:

Hannah had so much fun dancing at the reception... until she got stepped on!  She likes to fall on the floor and roll a little when she dances (break dancing?), and someone didn't realize she was down and accidentally stepped on her little hand.

Mommy got a well-deserved break on the flight home.  Emma took a nice nap, and I was lucky enough to be on Emma duty and got to nap, too!

And a special gift from cousin Kerry to Hannah, whose birthday was just three days after the wedding:
