After four nights of celebrating Hanukkah, Emma was fully in the know - she knows she's getting a gift, and she's very excited about it. She even started saying Hanukkah - it comes out as either "Ha-kah-kah" or the quick version, "Ha-kah." Emma also loves the dreidles. She comes at either me or Daddy with a dreidle in hand, needy look on her face, and whining "uh, uh, uh?" (Translation - "spin this thing for me?") Then, once we've spun one of the dreidles, she shoves another one in our face. She wants all the dreidles spinning at the same time.
Hannah is very excited about her new DVD, Mary Poppins, which she calls "Maewy Puffins." (She likes Puffins cereal.) She was not happy when she was told she couldn't watch it before bed last night, but we made up for it tonight. She's also fascinated by the ambulance she got last night, which has lights, sounds, and moves on its own. They are pretty easy to please at this age! The only problem is when one kid wants what the other kid has, which seems to happen every night. Tonight it was the abacus. Oh yeah, and the ambulance, but that was fighting over last-night's gift before tonight's Hanukkah celebration. No fighting over the matching sweatshirts from Ellie Mae - they both get one! And there are no flashing lights.
