Vermont

Last weekend we took the little one to Vermont to see her Grandma Ann and to meet many of her cousins, aunts and uncles.  Vermont is not the easiest place to get to.  We flew into the airport closest to Brattleboro - Hartford, CT - which, unfortunately, has only one direct flight to and from Denver each day.  This meant we had to stay near the airport on either end of the trip, which sounds like a fine idea in theory but in practice, it's not so much fun.  You'd rather get to your destination... but not as late as we would have, so this was fine.  Hannah slept in a pack 'n play in the bathroom, which gave Jim and I a little more space, and the ability to move around and watch TV while Hannah was sleeping.  There was no bath, but we made it work bathing Hannah in the shower.

Our weekend in Brattleboro was a lot of fun.  We went for a hike up Wantastiquet Mountain in NH to get a view of Brattleboro on the other side of the river.  Hannah had a good time.  We had a snack of cereal bars at the top, which made Hannah very happy.

We spent a fair amount of time with family, having some backyard play time at Peggy and John's and a bbq at Bethany and Bob's.  We also went to the Guilford Fair (I pronounced Guilford as "Guile-ford," which Jim found amusing), which was so much fun.  Hannah went on her first Ferris wheel and her first train ride.  She was afraid of the train at first but warmed up quickly.  There were also some farm animals and a few animals to pet.  Hannah preferred to look rather than pet.
