Amoxi-rash

Hannah came home with a fever last week and it turned out to be an ear infection. Poor baby. Her first one (which I guess is lucky - some babies get them repeatedly). So, we put her on amoxicillin per doctor's order. Luckily her fever cleared up by last weekend and she seemed to be feeling better... until we noticed little red spots cropping up all over her body. I took her back to the doctor yesterday and it appears Hannah has some sort of intolerance (or allergic reaction) to amoxicillin (and, therefore, all penicillin medications). Unfortunately her ears are still not completely clear so she is now on another course of non-penicillin antibiotics. Hopefully there will be no rash and no ear issues within a week or two.
